Junior Lifeguard Program

The Junior Lifeguard Program offers a unique aquatic alternative for those who love the water, who want to be challenged and who want more than just lessons. The Junior Lifeguard Program provides opportunities for children to keep interested and active in aquatics, especially quick learners and those caught between levels and programs. It's a fantastic opportunity to further develop swimming skills at the same time as developing new and challenging lifesaving skills.

The water activities focused on:

  • rescue skills
  • underwater skills

The classroom activities focused on:

  • First Aid and CPR awareness

In all Junior Lifeguard Programs they are to complete a project during the course of the week. The September 2009 Junior Lifeguards developed Pool Safety Rules Posters.  At the end of the week Junior Lifeguards displayed their learnt skills and their projects to their parents, followed by a certificate presentation and a BBQ.
